Very few things add warmth, charm and romance to a room like wood.

Whether richly stained or painted, wood blinds add an inviting look to any room. Wood blinds can be made with either ramin wood or bass wood.

The grain in ramin wood is more visible. Ramin wood is similar in appearance to oak. Less grain definition is visible in bass wood making it more similar to maple in it’s appearance. Wood blinds come with a tailored wood valance which conceals the head rail making them even more attractive.

Wood blinds come in three measurements. One inch wooden blinds work best in windows with shallow depth. They are also useful in doors where lever handles might interfere with the two-inch blinds. Two-inch blinds offer decorative options, including the decorative valance. Colorful decorative fabric tapes are also an option that is available with the two-inch blinds.

For a more contemporary look, the larger slatted two and a half and three inch blinds. They offer a more open look because the slats in these blinds are further apart. Even when these blinds are lowered, with the slats open your view will be practically unrestricted.

The three-inch blinds more closely resemble plantation shutters. They are generally made with bass wood. These three-inch blinds also come with the decorative deluxe valance.
