About honeycomb shades
Honeycomb shades, also called cellular
blinds, are formed of hexagonal cells placed side by side.
They provide an alternative to the
traditional pleated shade. Honeycomb shades come in single, double or
triple styles. The double and triple styles have the affect of several
shades placed back to back.
Honeycomb shades have become one of the most popular soft window shades
for a number of reasons. They provide several options in color that will
compliment your décor. They can be raised or lowered in either direction
due to their bottom up/top down design. This feature allows them to
become similar to a café curtain in allowing for privacy and variety in
light filtration.
With this bottom up/top down design,
there is a small gap at the top, which will allow light to come in above
the shade.
Honeycomb shades, or cellular blinds, can be motorized, cordless or
operated by remote control. These features make honeycomb shades easier
and safer to operate.
With a remote, you can raise or lower your shade from up to 30 feet. The
shade will automatically raise or lower completely, or it will stop at
the memory stop that you can pre-set. To stop the shade in between the
completely up or down positions, simply click the up or down button
again to adjust the position of your shade.
Not only can you control the movement of
one shade, but you can also open or close several shades at a time with
the remote control.
To operate multiple shades, either hold
the button down or make a sweeping motion, allowing the infrared eye to
reach each shade.
